INSTRUMENTATION specialist Process Instruments is providing equipment for a ground breaking research project carried out by Sheffield University.
The team at the University is researching into the Prediction of Discolouration in Distribution Systems (PODDS) in mains water distribution systems.
It has built a climate controlled room providing 600 meters of distribution piping. One vital piece of instrumentation needed for the research is a turbidity monitor, so Sheffield University turned to Process Instruments for the acclaimed Chemtrac TM2200 which has been installed with great success on both sides of the Atlantic.
Stewart Husband of Sheffield University who is leading the research said: “We have recently installed the instrument and it is functioning very well. It is easy to use and the backup from Process Instruments has been excellent.”
Mike Riding of Process Instruments added: “We are thrilled to have added another high profile customer to our client base. At Process Instruments we are very proud of our customer service and the reputation we have amongst industry specialists. We hope to help more people with their instrumentation needs especially when it is further developing important areas of educational research.”
