Process Instruments dive in with new pool disinfection control system

PROCESS Instruments is making a splash with a brand new range of pool and spa controllers which is already providing customers with improved disinfection control and improved bathing waters.

Crow Wood Leisure Centre in Burnley is the first of many companies to enjoy the benefits from the innovative solutions provided by the new monitoring and control system, the CRIUS 3600 Pool and Spa (CRIUS 3600PS), originally developed for the water industry.

The Crow Wood Leisure Centre operates an extremely successful and popular facility which includes a spa and swimming pool.

After operating for eight years, the existing control systems in Crow Wood were in need of upgrading so it turned to Process Instruments to successfully accomplish this with minimum disruption for the facilities guests.

The general manager of Crow Wood Leisure Centre, Ron Sykes, commented: “When we looked to replace the chlorine pH monitoring and control systems, we wanted the best one available for our customers so we chose the CRIUS 3600PS from Process Instruments.

“After a month of controlling the residual chlorine and pH in both the Pool and the Spa at Crow Wood Leisure Centre we’ve never had such trouble free and precise control”.

The CRIUS 3600PS also features extra special communication features, such as text alarms to mobile phones when the system needs maintaining or calibrating and full remote access via the internet.

Alan Burns of Process Instruments said: “When we heard that Crow Wood was looking to update their monitoring and control systems we were confident that they would choose the CRIUS 3600 Pool and Spa, because of its superior sensors, which are the same sensors used in the water industry.

“Many of the control problems faced in the Pool and Spa industry stem from the use of cheap, inferior sensors. The CRIUS3600PS uses only the very best sensors….the same as are used in the water industry.”

Ron Sykes added: “The most important aspect to us was that the job was done quickly and efficiently so we were able to ensure our customers were still getting the best experience from the facilities as possible. Process Instruments responded to those needs and installed the new system exactly to our requirements.”
